Background information about the photo:

Started in 1910, Alfa Romeo is one of the most recognizable Italian automakers alongside Ferrari and Lamborghini. The company has produced both luxury passenger vehicles and race-going examples, with noteworthy records set at the famed Targa Florio and numerous wins in Grand Prix, Formula One, rallies, and more.

The model pictured, a 1937 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B, was based on the race-focused 8C 2900 that competed in the Mille Miglia among other sports car races and was bodied by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera. This particular example is the first of only five examples built with the long wheelbase, otherwise known as the Lungo, measuring 3,000 mm (118.1 in) in length. Its otherworldly beauty earned it the «Best of Show» and «Coppa d’Oro» awards at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2019 and «Best of Show» at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 2019.

Information about the photographer:

This photo was taken by Justin Schmöller, a car fanatic and professional photographer from Switzerland. Justin has been shooting cars for well over 5 years now, and has also built a global network of contacts since then. In addition to his successful Instagram blog, he has also acquired a lot of knowledge about the automotive world. If he could chose one brand, it would definitely be Ferrari!
